Welcome to the Homepage of the Climate Laboratory

My name is Christian Franzke and I am a scientist with a broad interest in climate science. Currently my research focuses on understanding climate variability across scales, climate change, extreme weather and climate events, weather and climate risks, and the economics of climate change. I am an Associate Professor and Project Leader at the Center for Climate Physics, Institute for Basic Science, Pusan National University. I am also one of the founders of the PAGES working group CVAS (Climate Variability across Scales) where we try to better understand and model past and future climate variability. I am also active in organizing EGU activities; I am a officer in the Nonlinear Processes division and active in our outreach team.

I am an editor of Earth System Dynamics,
